TFS Downhill TRAINING PROGRAM

Downhill nowadays requires above-average physical skills from us. Downhill is a mix of specific strength, capacity, fitness, concentration and technical skills. Our program has been designed to combine all these elements and prepare you for the most difficult tracks. This training program will help you eliminate muscle pain and shortness of breath while allowing you to focus on your riding skills.

Who is the program for?

For anyone who wants to improve their fitness and downhill skills. Regardless of whether you are an advanced rider or just starting out. Workouts are scaled, so you can easily adjust the level to your abilities. In addition, we use alternative versions of exercises, taking into account gender and equipment capabilities, so you can adapt the plan to yourself.

We also know how important your time is, which is why we designed the trainings so that you get the most benefits in the shortest possible time.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Workouts at Gym or Home

In the program you will get two versions of strength training: „Gym” and „Home” with minimal equipment. TFS Downhill includes 2 priority strength training sessions and a third additional one.

Endurance training

The program includes 2 endurance workouts per week. If you do not have the opportunity to go out on a bike, we have prepared alternatives (bike trainer, running or rowing machine)

Flexible plan

The program assumes a minimum of 2 workouts a week and a maximum of 6 workouts a week. Depending on the level of advancement and the time available, you choose how many of them you will complete.

Results

Enjoy the training effects while riding. No more sore arms, legs and shortness of breath. If you follow the plan and don’t see progress, we’ll refund your money.

PERIODIZATION 365

Trainings are programmed in accordance with the periodization of the annual training plan. This means they last all year round. Thanks to this, regardless of when you join the program, you will receive training adequate to the season. In each training we also prepared regressions and alternative exercises. Thanks to this solution, no matter what level you are and what time of year it is, you will benefit from training in 100%.

Build functional muscle strength that will make sure that no obstacle on the track can stop you.

SPEED

Speed is a skill that can be trained! Our workouts will help you get faster while having more control over your bike.

ENDURANCE

Get rid of shortness of breath and burning muscles. Thanks to MTB tailored training, you will build endurance that will allow you to maintain concentration all day.

FAQ

Will I be able to do the workouts?

In each workout, there is an option to scale the level of exercise. If you find yourself unable to perform a certain movement, you can use an alternative exercise. Thanks to this, you can be sure that you will benefit from our trainings regardless of your level of advancement.

In addition, as part of each training program, you also receive a TFS Intro program, which is designed for beginners. Thanks to it, you will learn how to perform the exercises correctly, go through the basic progression and prepare for the main program.

What do I need for training?

As part of the training program, you get 2 versions of strength training: Gym and Home. You decide which plan you will follow. You can stick to one of them or mix it up during the week. At the gym, we use basic equipment such as a barbell, dumbbells, kettlebells, pull-up bar, box, gymnastic rings or TRX. However, for training in the „Home” version, you do not need any equipment. You will do most of the exercises only with your own body weight, but additional accessories such as resistance bands, dumbbells or a pull-up bar are welcome 😉

We design endurance training with the bike or bike trainer in mind. An alternative option is running, Airbike or rowing ergometer.

Which training program to choose?

Start by asking yourself what discipline is your priority and choose the right one. If you practice more than one, e.g. Downhill and Enduro, then choose the one that prepares you for longer efforts – in this case it is TFS Enduro. However, if you have non-standard needs and would like to have more attention from the trainer, choose an individual program.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into „My Account”. On this page you will see the currently purchased programs and you can fully manage them, simply and conveniently. If for some reason you decide that Train For Skills is not for you, you can unsubscribe on the same day in a few seconds.
